A Major Mortgage Firm maintained three data centers (two in-region plus one disaster recovery site) with over 10,000 VMware servers supporting more than 800 business applications.
This on-premise footprint drove up costs, limited SLA performance, and left the organization carrying significant technical debt.

Solution
Stratacent led a joint migration effort with a team of 100+ resources, combining tactical and strategic approaches to move the entire IT landscape to the cloud. The tactical solution used a fully automated lift-and-shift approach, leveraging vMotion to migrate VMware servers directly from on-premise infrastructure to VMware Cloud (VMC) on AWS with minimal disruption.
In parallel, the team built a strategic "gold field" environment in AWS — a fully modernized, automated infrastructure foundation. On-premise applications were re-architected into containerized workloads running on EKS clusters, while a minimal on-premise footprint was preserved only for infrastructure too large or complex to move.
